Wafer check valve is a universal fluid check valve. Light, small, wafer check valves are easy to install between flanges.
The valve is internally composed of two semicircular tension springs and plates, which are fixed on the valve body with pins. The flowing fluid deforms the spring and passes through the valve. When the spring loses fluid pressure, the valve closes. The spring quickly deforms to protect the pipe from water hammer damage.
Precautions for Installation of Wafer Check Valve:
1. First of all, make sure that the opening direction is consistent with the flow direction when installing the wafer check valve.
2. Place it in the vertical pipeline, and for the horizontal pipeline, install the check valve vertically.
3. Use expansion pipe between wafer check valve and butterfly valve. Do not connect them directly to other valves.
4. Keep the pipe joints and blockages away from the operating radius of the valve plate.
5. Do not install a reducer in front of or perhaps behind the wafer check valve.
6. When the wafer check valve has to be installed near an elbow pipe, leave a large enough space.
7. If the wafer check valve is placed at the outlet of the pump, leave a space at least six times the valve diameter to ensure that the butterfly plate can be pushed by the fluid.
